| Revision to TDK Environmental Action 2010 - A Basic Environmental Plan |

Having made environmental preservation one of its top-priority management policies, TDK adopted in October 2002 TDK Environmental Action 2010, a basic plan covering the years up to 2010, as the next step in its environmental undertakings. Specific activities started in April 2003.
TDK Environmental Action 2010 specifies activity categories and sets medium- to long-term goals based on the company's business characteristics. TDK Environmental Action 2010 was revised for the second time in April 2005, and the plan now consists of the following seven activity categories and medium- and long-term goals for each category.
Based on the achievements made thus far, TDK is developing TDK Environmental Action 2015, which is designed to be the next basic plan covering the years up to 2015.
