Our Philosophy
The Huanan Electronics Factory shall conduct activities in pursuit of a recycling-oriented society by paying comprehensive attention to environmental protection, as well as energy and resource conservation.
Our Policy
1. We shall comply with all relevant national, local environment-related laws, regulations, and requirements set by our clients;
2. We shall establish a sound environmental management system, set and implement relevant indices and goals and achieve continuous improvement;
3. We shall securely control chemical substances to prevent environmental pollution;
4. We shall strive to reduce energy consumption to prevent global warming;
5. We shall reduce waste emissions and encourage recycling for more efficient resource usage;
6. We shall educate our employees and others who engage in works on behalf of the Company, in order to make them more environmentally conscious and thus actively participate and cooperate in the environmental protection activities.

Enhancement of environmental management systems Comprehensive implementation of ISO 14001: 2004 version of the environmental management system Pass the external audit held in early FY 2008 Evaluation of environmental elements was completed in March. The results were issued and publicized to all divisions in early April. An internal audit of the environmental management system and the management review were conducted in April. Successfully passed the external audit conducted on April 28 and 29.

Conducted monthly monitoring for 12 months, of which 11 months met the emission standard.
In a survey conducted in January 2007, BOD value reached 64 while COD to 259, failing to meet the requirements due to a block in the sewage lines during the construction of a new plant building. After the implementation of countermeasures, BOD and COD values met the requirements in February and March.

An automatic cleaning line for electroplating was introduced in the electroplating process at the NEO production division in January 2008. This significantly contributed to the reduction of IPA, achieving an average 30% reduction for 10 months.

At the end of March 2008, our solar energy facilities at former dormitories marked the 1st anniversary of its operations that started in April 2007. The facilities worked without problem, successfully reducing diesel oil consumption by 49,726 kg, which is equivalent to approx. 320,000 yuan in 2007, compared with the diesel oil consumed by fuel-operated boilers in FY 2006. At the same time the temporary cost to install solar energy water heating system, 300,000 yuan, was recovered.

3.Reduction of Wastewater Discharge

By adding K-material separator and filter pumps in processing at the WET manufacturing division, usage of recycled water increased, which reduced the wastewater discharge. Water for toilet flushing and greenery at the WET manufacturing sites was 100% recycled water. Recycled water was also used to clean roads on the plant site. This reduced 11,201 tons of water discharge a year, surpassing the targeted 10,000 tons.

According to plan, 42 people from various divisions of the Huanan Electronics Factory participated in the environmental protection activity entitled "We Love Lianhuashan" held in the morning of November 24. Participants starting climbing the mountain on foot at 9 a.m., with each individual carrying a plastic bag to pick up garbage on the mountain trail. The starting point was on the east edge of the mountain and the goal was to reach the west edge. All of them climbed down the mountain at around 11 a.m. The total amount of trash collected reached 85.34 kg. With the approval of the administrative office, the garbage bags was dumped at the waste storage site next to the parking lot. Our efforts were appreciated by the people at the administrative office.

In March 2008, 46 employees of the factory participated in tree planting activities conducted in the Dam of Changan. They planted 68 saplings of the following varieties, increasing the number from 40 in the initial plan:
