The new filters are the same size (1.25 mm × 1.00 mm × 0.60 mm) as earlier TDK components (TCM1210H common mode filters), but by using original thin-film circuit formation and materials technologies, the functions of two chips--a common mode filter and an ESD suppressor--are now achieved with a single component. This leads to reductions in the number of components and mounting areas, contributing to the further miniaturization of mobile and other devices.
Main Environmental Impact Reduction Effects
- Multiple ESD suppressors are integrated while maintaining the same electrical characteristics of earlier components, reducing materials used by 35%.
- Reduced mounting area cuts solder usage by approximately 50%.
